But the imminent signing of a contract with one of two powerful multinational water companies, Veolia\/Connex\u00a0 and Degremont\/Suez, makes us ask, on behalf of all Victorians:\u00a0 What if\u00a0 our state is\u00a0 tied to huge budget blow-outs for the next 30 years? Will we pay for desalinated water we don&#8217;t need, as in NSW\/Queensland ?
